هدفت الدراسة إلى رصد وتحليل وتقييم معالجة قناتي النيل"قناة مصر الإخبارية"، وقناة الحرة الأمريکية لأحداث العنف والإرهاب في مصر، وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على تحليل المضمون کأداة لجمع بيانات الدراسة.
ومن أهم نتائج الدراسة ما يلي:

ارتفاع نسبة الأخبار المرتبطة بأحداث العنف والإرهاب في مصر التي وردت في عناوين النشرات الإخبارية بقناتي الدراسة.
ظهور نسبة کبيرة من الأخبار المتعلقة بأحداث العنف والإرهاب  في مقدمة النشرات المذاعة بقناتي الدراسة.
تنوعت الأشکال والقوالب الإخبارية المستخدمة في معالجة أحداث العنف والإرهاب التي استندت إليها غالبية النشرات محل الدراسة.

Mohamed A. Aboud" News Analysis of the Events of Violence and Terrorism in Egypt during 2013-2014 An Analytical Study of the Nile News and Free Channels of America".
The study aimed at monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the treatment of the two Nile channels, "Misr News Channel" and Al Hurra channel for the events of violence and terrorism in Egypt. The study relied on analyzing content as a tool for collecting study data.
The most important results of the study are:
1-The high percentage of news related to the incidents of violence and terrorism in Egypt in the news headlines of the two study channels..
2-A large percentage of news related to violence and terrorism occurred in the front pages of the two channels..
3-The forms and news templates used to deal with the violence and terrorism events on which most of the bulletins were based were varied ..
