The Role of Social Media in Tourism Promotion in Palestine - Tulkarm Governorate

Abstract

 The research aims to identify the role of social media in tourism promotion in Palestine's "Tulkarem Governorate as a model." This topic is closely related to the support of the Palestinian national economy and highlights the importance of promoting tourism to Palestinian archaeological sites in all their components, forms, and locations.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach, and the researcher prepared and developed the study tool (questionnaire) after reviewing the related information and related studies. The researcher relied on this questionnaire to reach the results of the current study based on the data and information available to the researcher. The total number of paragraphs in the questionnaire was (20) paragraphs. The researcher used the statistical program for social sciences (SPSS) to process the data statistically, using the following statistical treatments: arithmetic means, standard deviations, and percentages of the study sample's responses to the questionnaire as a whole and to each of its paragraphs.
The study's results showed the importance of reviewing the laws and regulations governing tourism. They also showed the lack of a sufficient number of specialists in the fields of tourism, antiquities, and tourism promotion through social media. The results indicated the government's interest in supporting tourism and tourism promotion and giving appropriate space for that.
