مع التقدم السريع في التكنولوجيا وتزايد استخدام الأطفال للإنترنت، أصبحت الجرائم السيبرانية ضد الأطفال مشكلة عالمية كبرى. وتشمل هذه الجرائم مجموعة من الأنشطة الخبيثة، كالتنمر الإلكتروني، والتحرش عبر الإنترنت، والابتزاز والاستغلال الجنسي للأطفال، وإن فهم دوافع هذه الجرائم وكيفية منعها أمر بالغ الأهمية لحماية الأطفال في العصر الرقمي. وقد هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على أطر معالجة الجرائم السيبرانية ضد الأطفال بالصحف الإلكترونية المصرية، وشملت صحيفة اليوم السابع والأخبار والوفد، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اعتمدت الدراسة على منهج المسح الإعلامي واستخدمت أداة تحليل المضمون، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، من أهمها: أن صحيفة "اليوم السابع" كانت الأكثر إنتاجًا للمواد الصحفية المتعلقة بالجرائم السيبرانية ضد الأطفال، وكانت جريمة الابتزاز الإلكتروني الأكثر تغطية، وكان الإطار الاجتماعي أكثر الأطر المرجعية استخدامًا، وكانت الأطر الدينية والتاريخية الأقل استخدامًا في الصحف الثلاث، وكانت أسباب الجرائم السيبرانية كما وردت في الصحف محل الدراسة غياب الحوار الأسري وعدم وجود رقابة أسرية، وكانت المعالجة التوعوية الهدف الرئيس، واستخدمت الصحف البرهنة المزدوجة (عاطفية وعقلية) في المعالجة، واعتمدت على الصحف اعتمدت على مصادرها الذاتية بشكل رئيس في استقاء المعلومات عن الجرائم السيبرانية ضد الأطفال، ولم تستخدم الصحف في فترة الدراسة الوسائط المتعددة لتغطية الجرائم السيبرانية ضد الأطفال.
