يهدف البحث إلى دراسة الدور المقترح لطلاب الإعلام التربوي في تعزيز مفهوم الجامعة الخضراء من وجهة نظر النخبة الأكاديمية، وتحديد أهم الأنشطة الإعلامية التي يمارسها طلاب الإعلام التربوي لتعزيز مفهوم الجامعة الخضراء من وجهة نظر النخبة، ويعتمد البحث على منهج (المسح بالعينة) بشقه الميداني، الذي يعتمد على تصميم استبانة بكيفية تغطي كل تساؤلات البحث، بتطبيق البحث على عينة من أساتذة الجامعات بلغت قوامها (173) مفردة من أساتذة الإعلام والزراعة والعلوم البيئية، وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج، أهمها: أن الأنشطة والممارسات الإعلامية المقترحة لطلاب الإعلام التربوي لتعزيز مفهوم الجامعة الخضراء تمثل في عمل ورش وندوات عن الجامعة الخضراء في المرتبة الأولى بنسبة (87.86%)، وكانت أبرز التحديات التي تعوق طلاب الإعلام التربوي عن أداء دورهم تتمثل في ضعف الوعي البيئي لدي الطلاب في المرتبة الأولى بنسبة (69.94%)، ومن أهم المقترحات لتعزيز مفهوم الجامعة الخضراء إدراج مفهوم الجامعة الخضراء في المناهج الدراسية بنسبة (87.28%)، وتوفير برامج تدريبية لطلاب الإعلام التربوي تعزز معرفتهم بالقضايا البيئية ومفاهيم البيئية المستدامة في المرتبة الثانية بنسبة (66.47%).
