الهدف من الدراسة: التعرف على مدى استخدامات الأطباء لشبکة المعلومات الدولية " الانترنت" والدوافع والاشباعات المتحققة منها بالنسبة لمستخدمي الانترنت من أطباء الامتياز في المستشفيات السعودية.
نوع ومنهج الدراسة: تنتمي هذه الدراسة إلى البحوث الوصفية واعتمد الباحث على منهج المسح الإعلامي بالعينة.
 أداة وعينة الدراسة:استخدم الباحث أداة الاستبيان وتم اختيار عينة الدراسة باستخدام العينة العشوائية البسيطة، حيث تم اختيار المستشفيات الحکومية والخاصة من بين أکثر من (300) مستشفى ومجمعات طبية، حيث تم التطبيق على 100 مفردة ممثلين عن أطباء الامتياز العاملين في المستشفيات الحکومية والخاصة داخل مدينة الرياض.
أهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة:
-    توصلت الدراسة إلى أن (31%) يقضون من  (1-5 ) ساعات في الأسبوع في استخدام الانترنت، وهذا الرقم يعد رقما متوسطا إلى حد ما. حيث نجد شريحة من العينة تقضي أکثر من (25) ساعة في الأسبوع، بنسبة (16%)، وهذه النسبة تعطي مؤشرا على الإدمان في استخدام الانترنت.
-    توصلت الدراسة إلى أن (67%) من العينة يستخدمون الانترنت في منازلهم، بينما توجد شريحة کبيرة تستخدم الانترنت في مقر عملهم، ويفسر ذلک بتوفر الإمکانيات المادية بالدرجة الأولى ومن ثم وجود الوقت الکافي باستخدام الانترنت.
-    کشفت الدراسة أن نسبة کبيرة (81%) من عينة الدراسة يستخدمون شبکة الانترنت بشکل دائم من اجل تلبية حاجاتهم المعرفية، التي تتعلق بالجوانب التعليمية والمعلوماتية، وأن  (44%) من العينة يشبعون احتياجاتهم الاجتماعية بواسطة استخدام الانترنت، وذلک من خلال استخدام البريد الالکتروني والتواصل الاجتماعي.
-    أن نسبة (62%) من أفراد العينة لايلبون احتياجاتهم الترفيهية من خلال شبکة الانترنت، وأن نسبة (49%) لايستخدمونها في تلبية حاجاتهم العاطفية، وقد يرجع ذلک إلى وجود الترابط الاجتماعي بين شرائح العينة.

Study Title: Physicians' Uses of Internet and Satisfaction. A field study on a sample of excellence doctors in Saudi hospitals
The objective of this study: is to identify the extent of physicians' use of the Internet and the motives and satisfactions achieved by it for the Internet users of the interns in Saudi hospitals.
Type and methodology of study: This study belongs to descriptive research and the researcher relied on the method of media survey sample.
 Study tool and sample: The researcher used the questionnaire tool and the sample of the study was selected using simple random sample, where public and private hospitals were selected from more than (300) hospitals and medical complexes. Riyadh city.
The most important findings of the study:
1-The study found that (31%) spend (1-5) hours a week in the use of the Internet, and this figure is a moderate figure to some extent. Where we find a segment of the sample spend more than (25) hours a week, by (16%), and this percentage gives an indication of addiction in the use of the Internet.
2-The study found that (67%) of the sample use the Internet in their homes, while there is a large segment of the Internet use in their workplace, and this is explained by the availability of financial resources in the first place and then the presence of sufficient time using the Internet.
3-The study revealed that a large percentage (81%) of the sample of the study use the Internet permanently to meet their cognitive needs, which relate to the educational and information aspects, and that (44%) of the sample satisfy their social needs by using the Internet, through the use of e-mail And social networking.
4-62%of respondents do not meet their entertainment needs through the internet and 49% do not use them to meet their emotional needs. This may be due to the social cohesion between the sample.
