The Values lmplied in Korean T. V .Series and their Relations to the lnformation and Social Side of The Egyptian University Youth An Applied Study

Abstract

The study aims to identify the values included in the Korean series and their relationship to the cognitive and social aspects of Egyptian university youth, to identify the extent to which Egyptian university youth are exposed to Korean series and the habits and patterns of their viewing, to identify the quality of topics preferred by Egyptian university youth in Korean series, Identifying the positive and negative values presented by Korean series by analyzing the content of a sample of these Korean series and monitoring them through the opinions of the respondents in the study, revealing the influence of Egyptian university youth with the topics presented by Korean series.   
 The study relied on the theory of cultural planting as a theoretical framework, and the sample of the field study consisted of 450 singles of Egyptian university youth, and the sample of the analytical study is represented in two series of Korean series for 2020, 2021, namely the series "Mental patient but fine" and "Judge Satan", and the study belonged to descriptive studies, and the study relied on the method of comprehensive media survey based on the newspaper content analysis and the survey form for data collection.
The study found that Korean television drama becomes increasingly important day by day as a tool of influence in society, because of its elements to attract attention and effective influence stemming from its embodiment of the reality of life and human issues in all its forms and levels, and despite the demand of families for such dramas, there is fear of some contents that are presented for fear of their penetration and their effects on our societies.
The study relied on the two theories of dependence on the media and the theory of dialogue communication as a theoretical framework for it, and the sample of the field study consisted of 400 members of the Sinaitic audience, and a comprehensive inventory of the communicators in the traditional and digital local media was made, which reached 35 individuals.
Korean drama as a contemporary art embodies the problems of society by employing the artistic elements of representation and considers the issues of society as a fundamental subject that reflects within the framework of the concept of social change and cultural backwardness as it reflects the difference in the speed of change between elements of society, and societal problems are a circumstance that is believed to squander social value and realize that it can be changed by constructive social work, and social issues include attitudes that are believed to threaten social values but are treatable through social work, The proliferation of societal problems means that there are social attitudes that threaten the fundamental values of society in many respects, resulting in intellectual confusion, lack of behavioral identification and a mix of things and objectives.
Korean series has become one of the main tools that play their role in the process of normalization and socialization, where the individual in the society where these series are available for an average of three hours each day, and the high watching of Korean series daily, which confirms its acquisition of the attention of a large number of viewers, because of its excessive romance we miss in most Egyptian and Arab dramas.
