With the expansion of blogging and podcasting platforms, and the spread of news podcasts provided by various media institutions; Egyptian, Arab, and international. There was a need to study the credibility of podcasts as a source of information and news for the Egyptian audience and analyze the elements of the credibility of podcast programs and the factors affecting them. The study relied on the structural model of credibility and the podcast credibility analysis framework (PodCred). The results of the analytical study showed that the podcast programs -the study sample- adhered to most of the factors that would achieve the components of credibility, which included accuracy, comprehensiveness, currentness, immediacy, realism, objectivity, balance, honesty, importance, and interactivity. The results of the study indicated that most of the respondents trust news podcasts (64.7%). YouTube ranked first among the applications that the audience used to listen to podcasts, followed by “Google Podcasts,” “Spotify,” “Apple Podcasts,” and “Sound Cloud.” Al-Arabiya PodcastAl-Masry Al-Youm Podcast, and The Sky News Arabic are at the forefront of the news podcasts. the results showed that the “accuracy” indicator came in first place among the podcast credibility indicators. As for the credibility elements of the news podcast, “Interactivity” came in first rank, followed by “importance” in second rank, and in third rank was “immediacy.” As for the factors affecting the credibility of news podcasts, the study found that “factors related to technical execution” in the first place, followed by “factors related to podcast context”, then “factors associated with the podcast content,” and finally “factors associated with the podcast producer/presenter.”
