تبحث الدراسة الحالية العلاقة بين مستوى التفکير الناقد لدى 400 طالبٍ في الجامعات المصرية، والقدرة على دحض الأخبار الزائفة في ظل ظهور عديد من الأخبار الزائفة، والتي تنوعت بين أخبار سياسية أحيانًا واقتصادية أحيانًا أخرى، کما امتدت هذه الأخبار لتشمل کافة مناحي الحياة، ومنها ما يتصل بالحياة الفنية وحياة الفنانين، وتشير النتائج إلى أن ارتفاع معدلات التعرض للأخبار الزائفة عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وارتفاع مستوى معرفة المبحوثين بالأخبار الزائفة عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وقدرتهم على دحض الأخبار الزائفة عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، کما تشير النتائج إلى العلاقة بين مهارات التفکير الناقد لدى المبحوثين ومستوى القدرة على دحض الأخبار الزائفة.
The role of critical thinking skills among Egyptian university students in refuting false news via social media - a study within the framework of epistemological theory
