Abstract

"This study seeks to understand the real effects of celebrity social influencers on marital relations in the Egyptian family, and to answer the question regarding the extent of the ability and influence of the so-called “social influencers” of celebrities through social media networks on marital relations in the Egyptian family, as well as the form and type of these influences? This was applied to “Radwa El-Sherbiny and Yasmine Ezz”. The study relies on a qualitative approach through the method of focus groups, which was applied to several (12) Egyptian husbands and wives who were chosen using the intentional sample method available from graduates of Egyptian universities and those who have been married for more than five years. A discussion guide was prepared, consisting of (11) questions, and it was applied in a direct dialogue method with notes recorded. The tool of in-depth scientific interviews was also applied with several (4) experts in psychology and the media to identify the role of famous social influencers on marital relations in The Egyptian family. In the theoretical framework, the study relied on the integrated approach between the theories of “public opinion leaders” and the theory of social convergence. The study found high rates of exposure among women to famous social influencers, which may affect the increase in the level of collection of information about their marital relationships, and cause Many family problems"
