Abstract

The field study aims to identify the extent to which workers in the medical sector seek information from websites about crises in the field of medicine and their attitudes towards it by identifying the rate of the study sample’s follow-up of drug crises through websites, identifying the websites through which they must follow the crisis, and identifying motives and behaviors. The study sample sought information about the crisis while listing the indicators that measure the motivations for their seeking the information provided. The study belongs to descriptive studies using the survey approach in light of the theory of information seeking. The study relied on a sample of workers in the medical sector (human doctors-dentists-pharmacists), consisting of 150 individuals. During the period from 7/1/2024 until 10/1/2024, one of the most important results of the study was that the study sample saw that there was a real crisis in medicine in the Egyptian market. The search strategy also came at the forefront of information-seeking strategies, Regarding the scale of motivations for seeking information under the study, the perceived threat or perceived risk index came in first place, followed by the emotional response to the risk of drug crises index in second place.
