The Elite's View on AI Technologies and Applications in Specialized Websites - A Case Study of Official Women's Websites

Abstract

      Official institutions have launched specialized websites aimed at raising awareness about women's issues and leveraging modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance communication and interaction with their audience.
     This study seeks to explore the integration of AI technologies in official women-focused websites, such as the Arab Women Organization and the National Council for Women in Egypt, using a field survey methodology. A structured questionnaire was administered to an elite sample of 165 respondents aged 25 and above, addressing the study's research questions and testing its hypotheses, which are derived from Rogers' Diffusion of Innovations Theory.
Findings:

These websites utilize AI in its early stages, with usage indicators ranging between 50% and 80%, and an overall implementation rate of 51.5%, suggesting that they are not yet fully equipped for AI integration.
The academic elite recorded the highest response rate (48.4%), with performance rates ranging from very good to excellent, followed by media professionals (31.6%), rated from good to very good, while technical experts (20%) rated it from moderate to good.
The credibility of AI-generated content, including accuracy, quality, and objectivity—was rated at a moderate level of 45.5% and requires further enhancement.
The general satisfaction rate stood at 75.2%, indicating a strong statistical correlation between the adoption of AI-driven digital technologies and user satisfaction.
The most frequently used AI-driven tools included visual communication technologies (such as live streaming and zoom), followed by chatbots, while AI-based fake news detection ranked last.

Recommendations:

Providing specialized training for website administrators on AI applications, such as chatbots.
Increasing awareness of AI applications and their significance.
Strengthening regulatory and legislative measures to protect user privacy.
